Message from the President

This organization is definitely young and vibrant; as we continue to grow on an annual basis. Growth was needed by ICSS so as to insure that we had the necessary resources to provide the services that we know are needed and more importantly, to provide those services at the highest level possible.

Everyone knows this is not always possible and it is a great sense of pride for me to hear talk from other groups who want to work with ICSS because of our high level of service. This is a testament to our people, there was a slogan used by Dofasco on TV many years ago, where they would always end their sales pitch with 'Our strength is our people'. As a young entrepreneur, I was very focused on the bottom line and it wasn't until just a few years ago that I realized that every organization is only as good as its people. ICSS is no different, our people make this organization what it is and everyone should take pride in their accomplishments.

Our growth has been challenging to say the least, we struggle to get the right balance between service levels and our budgets constraints. I am pleased to report that our growth is being well managed by our executive director, Jaynee Champagne. Jaynee will deflect most of the gratitude to the great team behind her, so I want to acknowledge them here as well. Teamwork makes us all stronger.

Our mandate is to provide a high level of services to the people who need it the most. This has never been lost at the board level and I would like to take this opportunity to thank Past Presidents and Board Member for their continued support.

Looking forward, we continue to work towards improving our organization and the board of directors always welcome your feedback and suggestions.
