ICSS Team

ICSS employs an incredibly dedicated workforce made up of people who have chosen to make a career working within our homes and services. We are very fortunate to have a relatively low turn-over rate and a significant number of long-term service employees. ICSS has an opened door policy and welcomes staff’s input and opinions regarding the overall day to day details of the organization.

We place a high value on staff experience and depth of understanding of ICSS’ philosophy and approach toward the individuals we support and their families.

Executive Director Jaynee Champagne began her career with ICSS with only one home and about 12 staff members on a part time basis. Jaynee has spearheaded the growth within ICSS to become the agency that it is today. It is her vision to assist as many members of the community in need as ICSS can possibly sustain.

Leslie Harris’ role of Manager of Programs and Services oversees the well being of all residents. Her vast knowledge of developmental disabilities, behaviour management and physical disabilities makes her a vital member of the team. Leslie has been with ICSS since day one, working her way into this position through the ranks, starting with a front line, relief position. Leslie has also been an essential element in assisting with the growth of ICSS.

Gayle Cameron, Human Resources and Communications joined the team at the beginning of the growth period, just after the opening of ICSS’ second residence. She has been a central resource throughout the growth; wearing many hats and taking care of whatever needs to be done. Gayle oversees hiring of new staff, training and motivation, Health and Safety as well as external communications such as our events and fundraising.

Amanda Clark, Residential Supervisor for Birchgrove and Colonial. Amanda started her career with the opening of Colonial in 2006. Amanda’s is an integral member of the ICSS Team.

Cindy Whittley, Residential Supervisor for Golightly and Royal Orchard. Cindy was initially employed as a front line employee when Colonial opened. As with many of her colleagues in the agency, her dedication and caring for the residents makes ICSS what it is today.

Kelly Lynn Harris, RPN/Willow Supervisor.  Kelly Lynn has worked for ICSS part time for a number of years while obtaining her RPN.  Her experience in this field along with her education will enhance the lives of the residents we work with, particularly those with higher medical needs.

Chantale Sauve, Support Program Supervisor. Chantale started her career with ICSS as a front line employee at Colonial in 2007. She was a key player in getting the Adult Alternative Support Program organized, then went on to become Supervisor. Under Chatale’s supervision the team at the Support Program has come together to provide a fantastic program for both our existing residents as well as those coming from the community.

Christianne Menard, Supervisor, Mental Health Program.  Christianne is the newest addition to our team, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience is the Mental Health realm.  Chris is enjoying the challenge of opening new homes and is quickly getting to know the new residents.

Patricia Clement, Executive Assistant to the Executive Director.  Patricia joined ICSS in March of 2010, coming on board to assist the Executive Director with accounting functions.  It would seem the longer Patricia has been with ICSS, the more duties she is taking on!  Welcome to the club.

Front-Line Staff. All of our homes have between 15-20 front line staff. These are the people that care for our residents day in and day out. Without them the agency would not be able to function and we would not move ahead and continue to grow.

We have an excellent team with varied expertise that will take ICSS forward to our future endeavours. Our expertise lies with complex medical residents requiring total care as well as behavioural support. ICSS is dedicated towards planning for the future to establish group homes and other programs that will continue our development for a support system for the numerous clients in the Ottawa area. It is our responsibility, as well as other agencies in this area, to plan for future endeavours to successfully support the long waiting list of Service Coordination clients.

ICSS looks toward the future, using our past and present expertise to continue its road of successful care giving, We will continue to implement these plans with the assistance of our valued Board of Directors, staff, clients and their families, MCSS and the community.
